Researchers from the XPaths project proudly present an actionable roadmap for environmental and food system sustainability in the Senegalese drylands.  The Strategic Action Plan emerged from an inclusive, participatory multiscale co-creation process, inviting local populations, governmental institutions, elected officials, technical experts, civil societies representatives and researchers to co-design development pathways for a desirable future, reconciling both productivity and sustainability.  With this plan now available, the next crucial step is implementation. Success implementation of the 12 priority co-identified solutions will rely on the engagement of stakeholders from all sectors and scales. The Strategic Action Plan is in perfect alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals outlined in the 2030 Agenda.
